Since his departure from eBay at the end of January, Slocum has been busy working on a new project. This week he launched SixBitSoftware.com, which will help small- and medium-sized online sellers list on eBay, Amazon.com and other online marketplaces.
In a podcast interview with AuctionBytes.com, Slocum explains why he believes it is time for a multi-channel listing tool and how the market has changed since he first launched Blackthorne. In the interview, he also reveals his thoughts about Jeff Jordan, the eBay executive who handled the acquisition of his company in 1999; the reason he believes eBay acquired his company; and his thoughts about ecommerce and online sellers.
