eBay Alternative 'Atomic Mall' Holds Sidewalk Sale
By Ina Steiner

April 17, 2009

Atomic Mall's first annual Sidewalk Sale will get underway on Saturday, April 18, 2009 and will run through Monday, April 20th. This event will be a sitewide sale extravaganza, with merchants taking items out of their mall stores, and out onto the virtual "sidewalk." Atomic Mall is a storefront service for online sellers that has attracted the attention of smaller eBay sellers.

Many sellers will be offering discounts from 10-90% on their entire lineup, with intraday specials, raffles and announcements posted in realtime on the Atomic Mall Community BBS and the main site.

Atomic Mall will also be holding free raffle drawings during each day of the event, with donations being provided by Atomic Mall and select merchants. Anyone can qualify to win a raffle by logging into their Atomic Mall account on the day of each event - new members qualify.

A schedule of raffle items is listed on the forum. On Saturday, for example, there are five items being raffled, including a $50 AtomicPass gift certificate (10am); an animated Christmas Train Music Box from The Last Collectible (1pm); and a "Sugar Cube" spy camera from The Spy Shop (2pm).

During the sale, there will be banners and popups on the home page linking to various stores and sale items, as well as a general link to all sale items. All the information consumers need will be found on the home page or in the forums.
