MyBuys, a provider of personalized product recommendations for retailers, announced this week it has raised $7 million in venture capital funding, completing its series B round with Lightspeed Venture Partners and Palomar Ventures. The company it will use the funds to invest in products, client services and market expansion.
MyBuys also announced that 30 retailers have launched with the company's web and email personalization services in 2009, including DELiA*s and Peruvian Connection, joining existing clients such as Lancome and Wine Enthusiast.
The company says its service works by building deep profiles based on each individual shopper's behavior, then using algorithms and real-time optimization to deliver the most relevant recommendations.
