Moneybookers Supports Online Charity GlobalGiving.co.uk

European online payment service Moneybookers is working with GlobalGiving.co.uk to offer a way to donate to charities online. Moneybookers users can now include a donation to one of GlobalGiving's list of vetted grassroots charity projects, directly combining remittances with charity giving.

GlobalGiving.co.uk is an Internet-based charity that directly supports vetted grass roots charity projects in over 70 countries worldwide. Donations can start from 5 pounds, and 90% of all donations go direct to the project with 10% going towards GlobalGiving.co.uk's own charitable costs. These costs are sourcing, researching and vetting projects, promoting the website, credit card processing, foreign currency exchange and transaction costs and Gift Aid processing costs.

Over 40,000 merchants use Moneybookers' payments service, including global partners such as eBay, Skype and Thomas Cook. Moneybookers was founded in 2001 in London and is regulated by the Financial Services Authority of the United Kingdom.
