eBid.net will give $3000.00 to the seller who lists the 3 millionth item at eBid. A seller with the user name Huddylion was the successful winner of the 2 millionth listing and received $2500.00.

In announcing the prize, eBid founder Mark Wilkinson said, "Listed items and successful sales have gone through the roof. We are breaking records all across the board from new members, to listed items to record sales. The prize is another way of saying thank you to our community." According to the press announcement, listed items are up 15% from the previous month, which it attributed to "continued eBay defections and eBid’s impressive item search ability at Google."
