Reading AuctionBytes: More Third-Party Tools Released on the eBay Open Platform

Additional seller tools developed by third-party vendors have launched on eBay's open platform (SM Apps). On Monday, Terapeak Keywords became available for free exclusively on the eBay Selling Manager Applications platform. The tool is designed to help sellers optimize their listing titles (link). Terapeak Keywords provides average, maximum and minimum prices for each suggested keyword with data based on 100 recently-closed eBay listings.

Another research tool available on the eBay platform is Hammertap's PowerWeb edition, which analyzes closed eBay listings to reveal what is selling on eBay, how much it sells for, and what sellers can do to increase sales and profits and is priced at $19.95 per month (link).

PhiConnect Return Service launched on eBay Selling Manager this month to help sellers reduce buyers' disputes and increase buyers' satisfaction by providing buyers with an "Online Return Service." For $9.95/month, sellers can use the service to accept and manage return requests and inquiries online (link).

Another new tool launched on the eBay platform in October is Webgistix GlobalFill, which offers free address labels with barcode printing capability; sellers can use the labels in conjunction with Webgistix' optional paid fulfillment service designed specifically for global sellers shipping orders from overseas into the United States (link).

A tool that launched in August and may not be ready for prime time is Canvasee, a free visual search engine for eBay items where users can design their own outfits using an avatar and purchase their items on eBay with the help of Canvasee's search results (link).

All of eBay's Seller Manager Apps can be viewed in the Selling Applications directory.
