Craigslist CEO Jim Buckmaster has listened passively in a small Georgetown, Delaware courtroom as eBay called witnesses to testify in its corporate governance lawsuit against the online classifieds website. Accused of having "extorted" eBay through his demands, of having an out-of-touch founder, and of being a "bottleneck" who had to review every decision made inside Craigslist, Mr. Buckmaster has been stoic through the first three full days of testimony.
Unlike other witnesses who have appeared in court only when scheduled to testify, Mr. Buckmaster has sat in the small courtroom since the trial began on Monday morning. Craigslist founder Craig Newmark has not yet appeared, but may be called to testify as early as Thursday. His testimony will be followed by that of Mr. Buckmaster.
In what was once scheduled to be a 5-day trial, it's looking like the trial may last a full 2 weeks.
