AuctionBytes is asking online sellers to rate some of the most popular online marketplaces to determine which venues are considered the best by small retailers. AuctionBytes, the independent trade publication for online merchants, is collecting data on the following criteria: profitability; customer service; communication; and ease-of-use. After rating each site in which they have experience selling, respondents are then asked how likely they would be to recommend the marketplace as a selling venue to a friend or colleague.
The survey is comprised of 16 individual sections containing questions about the following 15 sales venues:
Amazon
Atomic Mall
Blujay
Bonanzle
Craigslist
Cqout
eBay
Etsy
Ebid.net
eCrater
GoAntiques
iOffer
Onlineauction.com
Rubylane
TIAS.com
Online merchants live by their reputation, particularly on marketplace sites such as eBay, which is currently testing a new system that uses a 10-point Net Promoter Score that allows buyers to rate sellers. AuctionBytes decided to turn the tables and give online sellers the opportunity to rate the marketplaces themselves.
Online sellers can take the survey by following this link. AuctionBytes will publish the results in a future issue of its popular Newsflash newsletter.
