Buyers on eBay had difficulties trying to complete purchases on Sunday. eBay announced the problem on its Systems Announcement board on Sunday morning, stating, "We are aware that some community members may be seeing timeouts or delays when trying to complete the checkout process." Two hours later, it wrote in a post, "we are seeing the issues with Checkout and Registration resolved."
In a separate incident, a seller reported that shoppers were unable to put certain listings - those with eBay's new multi variation feature - on their watch lists. The seller wrote on eBay's PowerSeller board:
"IF you have a listing with any variations and attempt to watch list it NOTHING appears to happen. It does not say "you are watching this item" - it still says "watch this item". BUT if you look again you can see a red arrow before the box for the "Buy it Now" quantity. Also, if you check the properties box it says "javascript void".
"In order to place this item on their watch list the customer MUST select one of the variations. If there is more than one variation (size, color, and packing or whatever) then they must select something in EACH variation. Then they can put this on their watch list."
The eBay Watch List is similar to Amazon.com's Wish List feature, allowing shoppers to bookmark product listings.
