Infopia Founder Aims at Paid-Search with Finch.com
By Ina Steiner

Bjorn Espenes founded ecommerce platform Infopia in 2000, so he knows the challenges online sellers face in driving qualified traffic to their websites while keeping within budget. He left the company last year, and together with Infopia cofounder and CTO Eric Maas, set to work on Finch.com, a PPC bidding optimization engine that promises to reduce costs of paid-search campaigns while increasing conversions.

Finch uses software to manage a client's entire account to ensure the profitability for paid-search campaigns, and Mr. Espenes said early results with beta clients have been "phenomenal." The beta is invitation-only, and when Finch launches - sometime in the second quarter, it will support Bing and Yahoo in addition to Google AdWords. Finch is building a base of resellers and has pilot clients in 9 countries, including the U.S., Australia, and major European markets.
