Regarding last issue's popular anti-spam article http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abu/y202/m02/abu0064/s02 by Kim Pierce, a reader wrote:
I run ad aware. It seems to be OK. I would like to direct your attention to Bigfix. It is free at bigfix.com and tells you about any problems on your computer and also alerts you to any patches that become available immediately. It makes downloading patches easy and fast and so can head off a lot of these vulnerability problems.
