Reading AuctionBytes: AuctionBytes Forum: Online Auction Talk

In business, you hear a lot about "networking" with other people in your field. Networking is useful for keeping in touch with what's going on, discussing trends, finding new suppliers and resources, and for feeling connected. The AuctionBytes forum is a great way to network. You can get incredibly useful information on the forums about the business of online auction selling. It's a supportive environment too, and many people share their tales of woe or great success stories.

Selling fabric online is a great business, but there's a lot to know. The AuctionBytes Fabric Forum was recently created to answer questions and share knowledge.

Franci Neale is Moderator of the Fabric Forum. Franci retired from her own business two years ago to begin selling books and fabric on eBay. She operated her own sewing shop for 16 years and has extensive knowledge of fabric, from using it effectively to selling yardage at auction.

The Toys & Collectibles forum continues to be popular and is now moderated by Bobby Beeman. Bobby is a veteran of online selling, having started eBaying in 1996. Bobby started dealing in toys at the age of 8, when he established a front yard trading post, but professionally has been at it fulltime for 10 years. Bobby brings a wealth of knowledge to the forum about vintage and antique toys from 1880 to present.

And don't forget the very useful Online Marketing Forum moderated by Jim Crawford, a marketing consultant. He's been helping antiques dealers market grow their business for years, and is sharing his experience with AuctionBytes readers. Jim told me he recently gave a reader some suggestions for his site, enabling him to add 300 people to his list in 10 days! http://www.auctionbytes.com/forum/phpBB/viewforum.php?forum=15&137

Stop by the AuctionBytes Forums and check them out. It's fun, informative, and it's good for you. And when your Significant Other complains that you are spending too much time in front of the computer, just tell 'em you're networking! http://www.auctionbytes.com/forum/phpBB/index.php
