Government Liquidation LLC, a subsidiary of Liquidity Services Inc., says it has an exclusive contract to sell the majority of U.S. military surplus materials on its Web site through 2008.
"A growing roster of 60,000 buyers participate in 10 - 15 geographic and commodity-specific auctions, generating millions in revenue, every month," according to Hunter Hoffmann, the company's Public Relations and Communications Manager.
The 170-person company links a proprietary auction technology and online auctions with ground staff at military bases throughout the United States, Puerto Rico and Guam. Property sold ranges from military clothing, trucks and boats to ceremonial swords, U.S. Cavalry Horses and tugboats.

3) 35 Years of Kovels Antiques & Collectibles Price Guide

Ralph and Terry Kovel celebrated a major milestone with the publication of the 35th edition of their annual price guide, "Kovels' Antiques & Collectibles Price List 2003" (Three Rivers Press, $16.95, October 2002).
"Kovels' Antiques & Collectibles Price List 2003" contains over 50,000 prices for items in 500 categories. The book also includes company and product histories, over 400 black-and-white pictures, and hundreds of factory marks and logos. A 16-page color section features pictures of "flea market finds," items the Kovels have discovered at flea markets from New England to California while on location for their nationally syndicated television show, "Flea Market Finds with the Kovels."
