Reading AuctionBytes: AuctionBytes and TIAS.com Publish Results of Collector Survey

AuctionBytes and TIAS.com surveyed readers of the free TIAS email publication, "The Collectors Newsletter" (http://www.tias.com/newsletter) earlier this month about shopping behavior.

The survey found that 38% of readers shop regularly on eBay, and 37% shop on eBay occasionally, but 54% of readers have never sold on eBay. Collectors shop for antiques and collectibles at flea markets (67%), antique stores and malls (60%), online auction sites (51%) and antique/collectible shows (35%).

The survey also polled readers on their holiday shopping plans. While 69% of respondents plan to spend the same amount or more than last year on their total (online and offline) holiday shopping, 74% plan to spend the same amount or more on online holiday shopping.
