2) ''Driveway Deals'' Board Game for Yard-Salers
Celia Weiner is my kind of person. Celia created "Driveway Deals," a board game with the theme of Saturday morning yard sales. Players must go around the board buying garage sale items and be the first to cross the finish line. A combination of skill and luck is required to win, with a little haggling expertise thrown in (just like real-life yard sales!).
Celia tried to get large toy manufacturers interested, and when they wouldn't talk to her, she invested her own money and printed up the games herself. She has spent the last several years selling the game through independent stores, where it has done very well. She's gotten the attention of the media; the Christian Science Monitor did an in-depth article on Celia in the January 27, 2003 issue. You can order the game online or call 818-752-7489 to inquire about distributing the game.

4) Estates On Line Provides Software for Online Auction Consignors
By Ina Steiner
Estates On Line is an auction management and bookkeeping site for people who sell on consignment for others. Estates On Line allows consignees to manage and track current, pending and completed sales and generate statements for the client. "Members are automatically included in our zip-code searchable database, where they can be found by consignors looking for someone to sell for them," said Marvin Eisen, the founder. Prospective members should consult http://www.estates-on-line.com/member_faq.cfm (the tutorial, found on that page, allows you to see sample reports and invoices).
5) Anti-Fraud Advice for Credit Card Merchants
By Ina Steiner
If you have a merchant account that allows you to accept credit card orders on your Web site, an InfoWorld article has some advice for you to reduce your risk of credit card fraud. "Make Yourself Almost Immune to Credit Card Fraud: Simple steps you can take to protect yourself," by Brian Livingston, suggests you ask your card processor for a "pre-auth" account. 6) AuctionBlackList.com Shuts Down over Liability Issues
By Ina Steiner
The operators of AuctionBlackList.com have taken the site offline. "We experienced a great run online helping a lot of people and having close to 500 frauds posted on our site. Unfortunately the liability issues that come along with running such a site are too great for us to keep it online." A message on the site says, "If you are interested in taking over AuctionBlackList.com or purchasing the AuctionBlackList.com domain name please contact us at: admin@auctionblacklist.com."
Meanwhile, Steve of ebayersthatsuck.com said he is in the middle of revamping his site to be totally automated with a new fresh look. Check out his voodoo dolls: "Place it on the refrigerator and start off every morning jabbing the deadbeat that you hate." (This is a gag-gift, not intended to harm anyone.) Only $3.99, free shipping.

7) Auctiva Welcomes Mister Lister Users
By Ina Steiner
Auctiva, a provider of auction-management software, said it has made software to help Mister Lister users after eBay retires the listing software in early May (replaced by Turbo Lister). Auctiva said its software, called Mr. Poster, can read in and use saved Mister Lister batches and templates and works much like Mister Lister. "We plan on making it free, with optional pay features for scheduling and image hosting, but at greatly reduced rates as compared with eBay."
