This & That: Online Auction Roundup
1) BeerAuctions: eBay for the Breweriana & Beer Can Collector
By Ina Steiner
BeerAuctions.com is geared to bring collectors and sellers of Breweriana and Beer Cans together, with a common goal of having fun selling again without the high cost. Founder Lou DiDna said he made the site as easy to use as slicing bread.
Collectors will be able to find what they are looking for much faster than if they were browsing eBay, and sniping is not allowed, according to DiDona. He said many buyers don't like sniping, and sellers may see a higher end result in the final price with the auto-extend feature.
There are lots of the same features as on eBay. Popular features include settings that a buyer can use to be notified by email when a listing is placed in a certain category, or a certain keyword comes up, or a particular seller lists something.
BeerAuctions.com has no listing fees, no reserve fees and no commissions. There is a 3-months free trial for first-time sellers.

By Ina Steiner
EmailSherpa reported that AT&T broadband customers will have a smoother transition to Comcast than previously reported. Comcast has reportedly revamped its transition plans for the 1.9 million @attbi.com email accounts they acquired last year. Comcast will change one "region" at a time, and old @attbi.com accounts will be live through 2004.
