This & That: Online Auction Roundup
1) Online Auction Site for Christians
By Ina Steiner

Reminder: AuctionBytes does not endorse the products and services featured in the "This & That" column, which often features new companies. Fraud is becoming widespread in the online auction world, and you should think twice before giving private information or User IDs and passwords to any third party.

---

FaithBid is a new online auction site intended to give Christians a "wholesome, spiritual, and safe online trading community." CEO and founder Scott Hoehnke started the site to provide a safe and healthy environment where buyers and sellers can meet, exchange information and interact before completing their transactions. Hoehnke said the site's proprietary filtering technology will keep the community clean and free of unsuitable content. Sellers may list items for free and pay a commission when items sell. http://www.faithbid.com

eBay introduced a program for sellers to allow them to purchase ads on eBay similar to Google Adwords (http://ebay.admarketplace.net). The Motley Fool ran an interesting commentary on the service on Wednesday, written from a financial analyst viewpoint: http://www.fool.com/news/commentary/2003/commentary030723rm.htm.

(MyEZsale Ecommerce Guide will be running an article about Keywords on eBay from a seller's point of view in an upcoming issue http://www.myezsale.com.)
