AuctionBytes Soundoff: Letters from Readers

Hello, Ina,
Just a note to mention two relatively new auction websites that shows promise. Bidstay.com and Collectorsbookmarket.com (AB Bookman). They are user friendly and the owners are very attentive to the needs of the members.

With Bidstay, there are no basic listing fees and there is a $500 sign up bonus to be used toward listing enhancements. Also, Collectorsbookmarket.com has no listing fees while in its beta stage. Would love to see articles about them or perhaps interviews with the owners.
Thanks for your consideration,
Dale

Regarding PayPal Tiers http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y04/m06/i17/s02

Ina, I just heard of this and I am sitting here shocked. I won't qualify for my current rate of 2.2% + .30 in a year when the grandfather clause runs out. Where is the outrage? Where are the discussions about this? This only effects sellers whose volume is over $1000 - everyone lower than that is used to the 2.9% rate. Please point me in a direction, here, I'd like to point out how hurtful this is going to be to my business. It's real money right out of my pocket. Thanks for any advice you can give me. I feel sick over this. Just sick.
Thank you sincerely for your time.
Michele

Hello: I just wanted to let you know my experiences with ebay. Two months ago I got notification of overdue sellers fees so immediately resubmitted my credit card info. 30 days ago I get the same message and repeated the process. This morning I get a notice my account is suspended so sent all the same info again. They are inept beyond belief. A combination of this and spoof emails that arrive daily is enough to drive me to valium. What makes it so frustrating is that I have no way of phoning their accounting department to straighten this out. It is the only business I have ever dealt with that has no way of actually talking to a human!! Since my credit rating is perfect there is no excuse. Just wanted to vent to you. I am sure I am not the only one that has these problems.
Take care,
Joe

Ina, Thanks for the great MAG tip for my auctions http://digbig.com/4bnsn. I just registered last night and just received over 100 hits in half an hour since creating a MAG gallery link to my auctions. Wow!
Thank you soooo much!

Hello! Regarding "buyer management" (http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y04/m08/i16/s02), have you heard any efforts by eBay to add buyers with "private feedback" to the list? ... Just wondered as my experience with those with private feedback has not been real positive!
Joe
