This & That: Online Auction Roundup
1) Online Auction Site QXL Holds Free Listing Promotion in UK
By Ina Steiner
Reminder: AuctionBytes does not endorse the products and services featured in the "This & That" column, which often features new Web sites. (Anyone can set up a Web site.) Fraud is becoming widespread in the online auction world, and you should think twice before giving private information or User IDs and passwords to any third party.
********
QXL UK is holding a 2-week Free Listing promotion on its site. The promotion begins September 11 and runs through September 24. There will be no listing fees for auctions listed during the promotion, but commission fees ("success fees") do apply. See Web site for details and restrictions.

2) eBay Feedback Tool
By Ina Steiner
If you've ever waded through pages and pages of feedback, because you wanted to read some of the negative and neutral feedback left for an eBay user, here's a great site! Toolhaus has created a tool that extracts all negative and neutral feedback ratings and displays them for easy viewing. Many eBayers have long asked for this feature so they could easily review potential warning signs rather than slogging through pages of feedback to find the negs.
Here's the best part: it's free! You CAN make a PayPal donation if you find the tool useful. (Knowing the the owner of the site, the donation will go toward server costs and building his comic book collection.)

3) Sports Memorabilia Site
By Ina Steiner
Someone told me about a new site for sports memorabilia. "Ed Kranepool (played for the Mets in the 60's & 70's) started a memorabilia auction business where they only sell items from past players/performers or their families."
