FAS Cross-Promotion Tool for eBay and Overstock Stores

Last week, Mark O'Neill wrote about a tool to promote your eBay auction listings called NavPics. In this issue, I want to tell you about a similar tool I found that allows you to promote your eBay Store listings in your auctions. It also works for Overstock Auctions, and the best thing is, it's free.

FreeAuctionScripts.com (FAS) Cross Promotion Gallery script help drives traffic to your Store items. This can be useful, since eBay Store listings cost less to list than auction listings but receive less traffic, since Store items don't generally show up on eBay.com search results pages.

I talked to Matt Kirtok (eBay Id: TurkishCorner), the creator of Free Auction Scripts, a site for online sellers. He wanted to create a cross-promotional tool that was both free and customizable for eBay users. Since its inception, the cross-promotion tool has been updated twice on the advice and feedback of its users. The site includes a community bulletin board if you have questions, suggestions or problems with the script.

Here is how the FAS Cross Promotion Tool works. You go to http://www.freeauctionscripts.com/crosspromotion and enter your item numbers and other details that you would like in the Cross Promotion Gallery creator. You can promote up to 20 items. All of the promoted items must use eBay's Gallery feature for a picture to show up in the grid. You format the Cross Promotion Gallery to look as you like with the thumbnail size, table properties and other details. It is very customizable.

I chose to have a gallery with 6 columns and 3 rows promoting 18 of my Store items. The default setup is 4 rows by 5 items, but you can enter as many items as you like up to 20 items. You can also include a link to your Store and a title for your Cross Promotion Gallery. The script then previews and generates the HTML that you copy and paste into your auctions where you want your cross promotion gallery to appear.

I think that this is a great tool for cross promoting your Store items. The FreeAuctionScript site also has a number of other tools for making your auctions better. They have a Store search box script that you can include on your Me page and an HTML editor. Future plans include an auction template creator and a thumbnail script. Look for some new and innovative things from Matt and the Crew at FreeAuctionScripts.com. You should definitely take a look.
