2) Shipwire Gets Free Shipping Insurance from DSI

Shipwire.com, a discount shipping service operated by LOC Global LLC, launched enhanced services for eBay sellers. As part of a relationship with DSI Insurance, a leading provider of discounted shipping insurance, eBay sellers can now print a shipping label from the Shipwire Web site, complete with U.S. Postal Service postage and DSI parcel insurance, on a plain sheet of 8.5" x 11" paper. The first $100 insurance is free to Shipwire.com customers.

3) Beware of Art Dealer Scam

An art dealer says an elaborate fraud is being perpetrated against fine art and antique dealers and possibly collectors. A Russian (ostensibly) has been emailing dealers offering them a long list of paintings for sale and claims to be the owner of an antiques shop in Moscow. He says he is selling the paintings on behalf of a Russian diplomat. "This con artist is quite convincing and will produce photographs of the paintings, letters of recommendation from the Director of the "State Russian Museum", and scans of documents he claims he is preparing for Russian customs in order to release the paintings for your inspection and approval. He will ask you to send a bank draft or Western Union wire transfer of some sum in order for the work your are interested in to clear customs. ...In reality he is downloading photographs from various gallery websites, pretending he owns the paintings shown, and then offering them for sale."
