By Ina Steiner

Reminder: AuctionBytes does not endorse the products and services featured in the "This & That" column, which often features new Web sites. (Anyone can set up a Web site.) To those of us book-lovers who occasionally dream about opening up a bookstore, Edith Reynolds' current blog post will be of interest: "What do you need to run a shop?" Edith and her husband Dan own The John Bale Book Company in Waterbury, Connecticut, and Edith is Editor of The Bookologist. Edith reveals that it's people who make a bookstore a success. http://www.bookologist.com

2) Sniping for Overstock Auctions
By Ina Steiner

The latest release 2.5.6 of AuctionSleuth now includes both auto searching and snipe bidding for Overstock.com auction items. http://www.auction-sleuth.com

3) eBay Auction Revisions
By Ina Steiner

eBay announced Friday that sellers can now use the Revise Your Item process to add eBay-hosted pictures to listings, even after a bid has been placed for that item or if fewer than 12 hours remain in the listing, similar to how you can add extra description. But as before, any pictures already included when a bid is placed or when fewer than 12 hours remain in the listing cannot be edited or removed. http://www2.ebay.com/aw/core/200512161033182.html

4) Family Circle Article on eBay Sellers
By Ina Steiner

eBay Seller Cindy Sorley (User ID bubbacandance) wrote to tell me she is one of four eBay sellers featured in a 4-page article in the January issue of Family Circle magazine. Sorry no link, I can't find the article online.
