Registration for the annual eBay Live user conference opens on Friday (February 24). AuctionBytes has covered each event since the first in Anaheim in 2002, bringing you news stories, photos and a personal look at the show through blogs. Last year we introduced podcasts containing audio interviews with interesting industry folks. This year, we're introducing videocasts. One of the most interesting aspects of the eBay Live show for me, in addition to the networking, is the exhibit hall, which gives everyone the opportunity to talk to eBay employees and third-party vendors, learn about new tools and services, and of course grab souvenirs and free Tshirts. Even if you attend the event, it's hard to see everything, so I hope the video roundups from the show floor will be both entertaining and enlightening. The Developers Conference, which encompasses eBay, PayPal, ProStores, Skype, Kijiji and Shopping.com, takes place at the same venue on June 10-12 (http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y06/m02/i14/s01). We have a new feature in the AuctionBytes daily Newsflash newsletter. Once a week, Terapeak provides research trends that explore average selling prices and sell-through rates on eBay across a range of categories. The first column appeared on February 10 (http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y06/m02/i10/s04). The second column was published on Friday (http://auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y06/m02/i17/s01) and reveals some interesting information about how the demise of Glacier Bay DVD (http://auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y06/m02/i06/s03), eBay's number one feedback seller, seemingly affected the sales of DVDs on eBay. Terapeak will provide information to us each week, and the trends should get even more interesting over time. eBay Store owners are still assessing the new way items are displayed in eBay.com search results. I wrote about some initial reaction in this Newsflash article (http://www.auctionbytes.com/cab/abn/y06/m02/i15/s01), but the proof is in the pudding, as they say, and one seller told me her items are flying off the shelves of her eBay Store.
