It seems everyone remembers his or her first item ever sold online! Today we hear from Betty Mancarella about her first eBay experience:
The first item I sold on Ebay was in 1998. My mother has passed away and I was cleaning out her refrigerator and found the butter dish she used every day. It had a Jadite bottom and clear top. I had just discovered Ebay and decided to try my luck. I think I listed it for $3.00 and then waited. It didn't do anything for a while but all of a sudden the price kept going up. It ended at $102. What a surprise! I worried for a week after the end of the sale until the check finally came in the mail. A very splendid start to my Ebay experience. I still dabble in Ebay.
