What: I sold my beloved collection of Reader's Digest magazines, eight large boxes of them, some of them going back to the 1930s.
Why: I had moved to a two-room apartment when I lost my job, I couldn't keep them and I sorely needed the money. I got bids and inquiries from all over the world! How exciting was it to be corresponding with a gentleman in Singapore, for instance, about MY stuff.
Result: I was hoping that I might get near $100 for the books but the bidding didn't stop until it reached $256! Plus shipping of $110! I was thrilled and, as they say, the rest is history! I have been selling my stuff, my family's stuff, my friends' stuff and lots of great stuff I have found at local yard sales. I have an eBay store in which I sell new items from a wholesaler and I continue to sell personal items, too! It's interesting work, it's great fun, I'm meeting wonderful people from all over the world and I'm always learning how to do more and do it better! I love eBay!
