By Ina Steiner
Reminder: AuctionBytes-Update does not endorse the products and services featured in the "This & That" column, which often features new Web sites. (Anyone can set up a Web site.) Fraud has become widespread in the online auction world, and you should think twice before giving private information or User IDs and passwords to any third party.

6) Classifieds Sites Are Hopping
By Ina Steiner
In case you hadn't heard, eBay launched its classified site Kijiji in the US. Everyone's wondering about what Kijiji will mean for Craigslist, in which eBay owns about a 25 percent stake. Classifieds are hopping right now. Yellow Pages provider YP Corp. bought LiveDeal (which was founded by a former eBay executive). There's plenty of innovation - there are sites launching that are specifically geared toward "video classifieds", such as http://www.imoondo.com and Realpeoplerealstuff.com. And domystuff.com is a classifieds site for chores. eBay itself has a Classified Ad format and is also creating service categories on its sites, some with special pricing:
