The new "trial" search is unreal - you can't even find an advanced search or redefine your search terms.
Pathetic.

Hi Ina:
Leave it to eBay to screw things up again. Their new "finding" nightmare now eliminates the old menus at the left, which used to allow the buyer to sort for "completed auctions" and "number of bids" and "U.S. only auctions" and etc. It infuriates me, and makes me think that the next new "Plaything" will be to PAY MONEY to see "completed auctions."

And they want feedback on their new changes???

I can't find the page where they'll take feedback; if it takes me more than 5 minutes to locate..... I just give up.

Call it FINDING; call it SEARCH. You can call a dog a cat, but you still can't make it meowwwwwwww.

Ina, you are the only breath of fresh air that ever circulates in or around eBay. Keep up the good work.

Hello Ina
I just found your blog and I felt compelled to write with an occurrence that recently happend to me.In regards to the Ebay's shill bidding policy ,which states that you or your friends can't bid on your own auction to raise the price(I'm sure you're aware of it) I was falsy accused without cause of engaging in shill bidding activities with another Ebay member. Ebay never bothered to contact me and ask me about the issue , instead they simply cancelled all of the auctions I had going , kept my listing fees for those auctions and they also kept the final value fee on the auction they said I engaged in shill bidding on. If Ebay is going to punish its members on suspicion of shill bidding , does it not have an obligation to contact that member and at least let them offer some defense before carrying out punishment ? Is Ebay so powerful that they can play Judge , Jury and Hangman? And even if I did engage in shill bidding on an auction , Ebay didn't refund the final value fee or the listing fees for that auction making them a co-conspiritor and profiteer of said auction. So if Ebay profits from a shill bidded auction , then that makes them just as involved as the person/persons doing the shill bidding does it not ? On what planet is that fair or right ? I think that this is cause for a class action lawsuit against Ebay. Right or wrong , sellers should not be robbed by Ebay of their listing fees when Ebay decides to punish them. And for Ebay to still keep the fees associated with an auction they say was artificially inflated in price is wrong. This is the first time I have ever had anything like this happen to me on Ebay in the 5 years I have been selling and I am outraged . As well as a 14 day restriction to selling in the fixed priced auction format only , they kept the fees I paid for the auction they accused me of shill bidding and all the fees for the auctions they cancelled ! I know that of the millions of other Ebay sellers , I am not the only one this has happened to. I think th at it should be made public that Ebay is stealing from sellers while wrongly punishing them for accusations they offer no proof to back up. I would welcome any advice and would without hesitation join in any class action lawsuit against Ebay for this cause. It's not enough for Ebay to tax sellers sometimes 3 times for each auction (listing fees , final value fee's and then PayPal fees if the buyer uses PayPal) and I think its time to hit back ,
Awaiting your comments ,
Paul
