Now is a good time to think about the shows you want to attend if you are looking for suppliers for your inventory needs. There are regional gift shows (there's one coming up in Boston in September http://www.bostongiftshow.com). You can find out about the Magic Apparel show here (http://show.magiconline.com/magic/v42/index.cvn), and the New York toy fair here (http://www.toyfairny.com). The ASD/AMD holds several large shows (the Internet Merchants Association hosts its conferences for eBay and online sellers in conjunction with the Las Vegas ASD/AMD show), learn more here (http://www.merchandisegroup.com).
2) Seller Non Performance: Are You at Risk?
By Ina Steiner
A new tool called neg90 can tell you if you are at risk for having action taken against you by eBay for Seller Non Performance. Enter your eBay User ID, and neg90 will tell you the percentage of "bad" (negatives and neutrals) that you've accrued in the last 90 days. According to eBay, sellers with greater than 5 percent within a 90-day window are subject to temporary 14-day restrictions in the form of selling sanctions or reduced listing volume. Sellers with 10 percent or greater are subject to indefinite restrictions until they improve their buyer dissatisfaction rates to less than 5 percent.

3) Safe Selling
By Ina Steiner
The ABA (American Bar Association) Section of Business Law's Cyberspace Law Committee has developed a site for online sellers organized around frequently asked questions that arise during the creation, launch and operation of an online store or other ecommerce venture. Safeselling.org offers a resource for business people launching ecommerce enterprises and for businesses venturing into online sales.

4) Tips for Reducing Seller Exposure to False NAD Claims
By Ina Steiner
The Dean of eBay Education Jim "Griff" Griffith posts in the eBay Chatter blog an answer to the question, "How do I avoid the aggravation and loss from both FNAD and regular old NAD claims?" FNAD and NAD claims are those from buyers who report items as not as described. It's a post worth reading for sellers.
