Do you remember the first item you ever sold online? Let us know by sending an email to ina@auctionbytes.com and we may publish your story. Today we hear from Reggie whose first item sold on eBay really took him places!
Hi Ina,
The first item I sold on eBay was a 5-piece set of American Tourister luggage. My wife bought this bright red set back in the late 60s and used it just a few times, only to retire it in a closet. After going through 3 garage sales and not selling it, she was going to make a last-ditch effort to sell the complete set for $15.00, instead of the $35.00 she had been asking. I told her, "I bet I can get more than that on eBay, give me a chance to sell it for you." The next week, I listed it on eBay and the final selling price was $110.00 plus shipping costs. Needless to say, I've been hooked on eBay ever since. Thanks for the opportunity to share my first eBay experience.
