1) Managing Chargebacks on PayPal
By Ina Steiner
Reminder: AuctionBytes-Update does not endorse the products and services featured in the "This & That" column, which often features new Web sites. (Anyone can set up a Web site.) Fraud has become widespread in the online auction world, and you should think twice before giving private information or User IDs and passwords to any third party.

2) Sellers Can Submit Coupons to DealLocker Site
By Ina Steiner
DealLocker.com launched in November and is a consumer coupon site. I asked founder Jonathan Lieberman if small independent e-tailers could submit coupons to the site. He said the site works with anybody who offers online coupons, and there is no charge to submit a coupon.
Does DealLocker check coupons before listing them? "Coupons are listed automatically until the expire, unless someone alerts us to a need for editorial review, however all coupons are subject to user voting. If users report that coupons don't work they will be demoted and eventually removed."
What's the revenue model? "While we seek to provide all coupons for all stores of our users and do so with out regard to compensation, we make a modest commission from many of our merchants. Those sites that pay us a commission are eligible to appear in the related coupon section of other stores pages and are more aggressively promoted."
