Howdy Ina,
The first item that I listed and sold on eBay was an almost entire run of Spiderman comics starting with #1 and ending with #441, (I think there were 7-8 inconsequential issues that were missing). The collection was shipped in 4 boxes, and the overall condition was excellent. Though I got started a little later than most, it was nice to start with a splash.

I asked Allen if he remembered how much the lot went for. He said:
It was $6,200+ ... and this was after I offered the entire lot to a dealer for $4500 ... he had counter-offered $3000. (I almost took it). Even then ... I had seller's remorse within a week after shipping the comics.

The first item I sold online was an old hearse/ambulance. It was a 1960 model that had been converted to a Party vehicle with plush upholstery. I did not know much about online selling but we cleaned it up....took lots of pictures and the hearse sold to someone from Alabama who came to Kansas to drive it home. They only got from NE Kansas to Kansas City when they had to do repairs but it was a good sale and they were happy with their restoration project.
