AntiqueTrader.com, the online component of America's Antiques & Collectibles Marketplace, has launched a new classified advertising system that allows sellers to post up to five full-color photos, extended descriptions of items being sold (up to 3,000 characters), and a simple method for placing ads both online and in print. Users will be able to complete transactions via PayPal. The marketplace also allows users to browse sports-related collectibles, with the addition of music and movie memorabilia, militaria, comics, games, and postcards coming soon.

2) eBay Talk Radio for You
By Ina Steiner
Just as YouTube has empowered regular people to post videos online, BlogTalkRadio is doing the same for audio. Fruity, aka "Fruit Helmet Cat," is an eBay buyer and seller well known on the eBay discussion boards, and she has begun broadcasting a regular call-in radio show to talk with other eBayers about the challenges of selling on the site - "it's funny satire but honestly blunt observations" (http://www.blogtalkradio.com/Fruity). Do a search on BlogTalkRadio for the word "eBay" and you'll find other well known eBayers broadcasting their own shows.

3) eBay's Identity Confirmation
By Ina Steiner
We wrote about eBay's new initiative, "Trusted Selling with Identity Confirmation." People are starting to see messaging about it - remember to have a current phone number, cell phone number, and a secret question and answer on file with eBay.

4) Go Global with Yahoo Search Marketing
By Ina Steiner
Yahoo opened three new markets for its Sponsored Search marketing service: Southeast Asia (53 million customers in Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam); Latin America (Mexico, Colombia, Venezuela, Peru, Chile and Argentina); and India. The company said using Sponsored Search in international markets "offers many of the same benefits that you have advertising with Yahoo! Search Marketing in the U.S.: the familiar "Panama" user interface, control, and distribution via both Yahoo! and our partners' properties."
