5) New Collectibles Marketplace Collexpo.com in Beta
By Ina Steiner

Collexpo.com is a new collectibles marketplace incorporating social features and large databases of collectible items. Sellers use the data to build listings while collectors can build online collections and research collectibles. The flagship category is Sports Cards, followed by Sports Memorabilia and Postcards, and the site is gearing up and working out kinks, according to founder Carrington Williams. Every seller has a store, and the standard 30-day listing fee is 25 cents, while renewing a listing costs 3 cents. "This model keeps "penny" items off the site, except for the large vendors with whom I do economy-of-scale deals," Williams said.
