2) eBay Alternatives News Roundup

Etsy released sales and traffic data for the month of April 2009. Alibris added Google Checkout as a payment option and made changes to shipping credits. Several new online marketplaces launched: DealItLive (a live streaming video auction site); and ToldYa (portable eStores for social networking sites). Also of interest: "Entrepreneur Turns "As Seen on TV" into a Unique Ecommerce Model" (link) and "Andale Cofounder Launches Twitter-Based Shopping Service" (link).

3) Sniping Service eSnipe Launches Blog

eSnipe, a service for placing last-minute bids on eBay auctions (a practice called sniping), has launched a blog. Former Microsoft program manager Tom Campbell founded eSnipe in 1999, one of the first pay sites on the Internet. The launch of the blog is an outgrowth of Campbell's newest business, a publishing company called EasyOnMe.
