1) Advertising on Amazon with Product Ads

Online fraud has become widespread, and you should think twice before giving private information or User IDs and passwords to any third party.

Advertisers often think of Google and Yahoo's advertising solutions, but online retailers can reach shoppers on Amazon.com as well. There are a number of ways to advertise on Amazon.com, explained on this page. And for those who have signed up but are new to Amazon Product Ads, there is a tutorial on how to list your products. (This is a paid, not free service.)

2) Alibaba.com Offers Product-Sourcing Training

3) Online Marketplace Roundup

There's a lot of news this week about online auction sites and ecommerce marketplaces, here's a roundup from recent issues of the AuctionBytes Newsflash newsletter.

Alibris added Google Checkout as a payment method, and it partnered with Akademos, which operates branded online bookstores for dozens of educational institutions across the United States (link).

Amazon.com began displaying optional feedback responses to sellers (link) and introduced its own line of cookware and kitchen tools (link).

ArtFire partnered with Delphi Glass, a leading supplier in the glass art industry, to help connect Delphi crafters with an easy way to market and sell their handmade creations on ArtFire.com (link).

Atomic Mall added two new store functions. Coupon Codes allows merchants to create and store up to three unique promo codes with attached discounts (either a percentage or a fixed dollar amount) to give privately to select buyers or to advertise publicly. Country Discount helps sellers who ship items internationally and wish to offer shipping cost adjustments to buyers in certain countries (link).

Bonanzle has a new shopping cart system for greater simplicity and introduced a new seller invoicing system (link).

Etsy CEO Maria Thomas revealed she is open to separate marketplaces in the future (link). Etsy's product priorities were revealed in this post.

OLX Classifieds reached out to attract merchants in the US (link), and Oodle announced it would begin tweeting classified listings on Twitter (link)

Wigix launched Craigster to publish items to Craigslist, announced on this page, and launched a "Guess the Price" game for shoppers (link).
