From the Editor
We've just wrapped up a big industry news week. eBay made a major holiday marketing campaign announcement and is running a new 1-cent listing promotion - for fixed-price listings. Online auction site uBid.com underwent a corporate restructuring, and multichannel listing platform Infopia was sold to a company called Versata. AuctionBytes Editor Ina Steiner lays it all out for you in today's editorial, and lets you know where you can find us on social networking sites Facebook and Twitter to stay in touch with ecommerce news.

Tips for eBay Sellers from a Hollywood Prop Master
Ever wonder where the producers of AMC's Mad Men get the vintage period pieces for the 1960's set? AuctionBytes Contributing Editor Greg Holden went right to the source and spoke to Hollywood Property Master Scott Buckwald, who's worked on the sets of hit TV shows and the big screen. In part one, Scott shared some behind-the-scenes stories (did you know an eBay seller played a part in creating Mad Men character Betty Draper's wardrobe?). In today's installment, Scott shares some tips on what eBay and online sellers can do to attract professional buyers.

So far Scribblemonger has attracted 225 booksellers, garnered mostly through word of mouth. Ron Holl explains why booksellers asked a pair of collectors to launch a book-selling site when there are already many ways to sell books online.
