Oodle has launched a partnership with MySpace to power its classifieds section (http://classifieds.myspace.com). Oodle spokesperson Matt Dearborn told AuctionBytes that the company would introduce social functionality to the MySpace classifieds in two ways. "First, all classifieds posted by users will link to their public MySpace profiles. In this way, the listings are associated with the identity of real people, not anonymous email addresses. Second, friends can easily promote their listings to their MySpace friends. That way if they're looking for a roommate or selling extra tickets, they can easily let all their friends know about it. There's a lot more coming, too."
In the UK, Oodle is launching a mobile classifieds service with partner Magic Radio. The service, which was developed using technology through Mobiya, allows users to post ads directly into the Oodle network via their mobile phones. Sellers are charged normal SMS rates to post an ad. If someone replies to an ad, they're charged .25p. If sellers receive a lead and want to accept it, they will be charged .25p.
