eBay suggested that Canadian sellers of media products adjust their pricing when selling on the US site to deal with a new eBay.com shipping policy. Beginning on Friday, eBay is imposing a cap on shipping charges in the Books, Movies & DVDs, Music, and Video Games categories on eBay.com.
eBay said that Canadian sellers are not subject to the shipping limits when listing on eBay.ca. However, when listing on eBay.com, they might be negatively impacted in search results if they charge actual shipping costs from Canada. eBay stated, "We encourage Canadian sellers to consider strategies to lower their stated shipping costs, or even offer free shipping to the US, if, for example, they can successfully shift some of the cost of shipping into their item price and still remain competitive."
eBay Canada also announced that it would make changes to the International Shipping section in the eBay.ca selling flow due to Canada Post's new service, Priority Worldwide, which replaces Purolator International.
