Vendio said it laid off four people last week as part of a small reorganization, and said it had hired five people in the past quarter. It still has some open positions for engineers.
Michael Levit, Senior Vice President of Marketing and Business Development at Vendio, said "As I am sure you know, over the past several months we have been moving away from eBay and towards a multi-channel platform with support for Amazon, our soon to be released Vendio stores, and other channels to be added in '09. As part of the continued alignment around this vision, we let 4 people go and hired 5 others in the past quarter, shifting resources from eBay-centric sales and marketing support in favor of growing our multi-channel technology and customer support teams in advance of our near release."
