The National Retail Federation has already launched its shopping site CyberMonday.com two weeks before Cyber Monday, which falls on December 1st this year. The site features promotions from over 600 retailers selling over 20 million products, including sites such as Barnes & Noble.com, BestBuy.com, eToys.com, Overstock.com, Zappos.com, and hundreds of other companies.
Shop.org a division of the National Retail Federation, redesigned the site with the expectation that shoppers will be using the web more than ever this holiday season to compare prices and look for gift ideas. New features help consumers find the best holiday deals, including a robust comparison shopping engine that crawls each CyberMonday.com merchant to find the best deals on specific products; an email preview feature; and a "Deal of the Hour" promotion featuring a different sale or promotion from a participating retailer every 60 minutes. CyberMonday.com also features a new shopping category featuring "green" products, and dedicated pages highlighting retailers with free shipping offers and gift cards. CyberMonday.com was visited by more than 1.5 million people last holiday season, three times the previous year.
