eCrater, a fixed-price marketplace for third-party sellers, said it has strengthened its back-end to make sure it can sustain the load during the upcoming holidays. It made a number of enhancements to its site in 2008, and is working on several new features to be released before Christmas, including the ability for sellers to show related products in their individual listing pages.
New features launched during the past year include added support for Google Base attributes for better placement on Google Products and support for Google Analytics. eCrater also updated its Bulk Lister to substantially accelerate the upload process; sellers can see the file status in each stage as well as a detailed error log.
eCrater Widgets allow merchants to place eCrater information on different websites such as blogs, social networking sites, personal sites, etc. There are two versions available, Ajax and Flash. eCrater also added a copy feature for quicker listing process and a USPS shipping calculator.
Founder Dimitar Slavov said the site now has 1.5 million listings and 89,653 registered sellers.
