Wigix is launching a promotion in January to reward its top three sellers. Wigix will determine the top-selling merchants from January 19 - March 31, 2009, and will match their gross sales. For example, if one of the top three sellers does $1,000 in merchandise sales on Wigix during that period, Wigix will give reward them with a matching gift of $1,000. The news is hot off the press, look for more information from Wigix in January.

In the meantime, Wigix has begun running monthly promotions to drive buyers to the site. This month, it will release ten Flip Mino video cameras for a special price of $99. Wigix conducted a similar promotion last month with the Wii game console.

Shoppers must be signed in and should go to the Flip Mino product page featured in the promotion. When the countdown is finished, the page will automatically refresh, and the first person to click the Buy button and submit their order will get the item. The promotion will continue every hour on the hour beginning at 8am on December 15 until ten Flip Minos are sold at the special price. (See website for details and terms.)

For sellers with identical Flip Minos (new or used), this is a way to gain exposure to your listings, since Wigix is driving buyers to the product page. After the ten specially priced Flips are sold, shoppers may choose to purchase one at a higher price. Wigix said the campaigns are viral, and it supports the promotion with forum posts, emails to members and by purchasing keywords. The promotion is also advertised on the Wigix home page.

Senior Marketing Manager Steve Young said the promotions will continue every month, and sellers with hot products wanting to participate should email marketing@wigix.com. (Wigix makes up the difference in selling price versus promotion price, he said.)
