eBay UK ran a free subtitle promotion for the month of December, but the company now says that due to "system constraints," sellers are unable to remove the subtitle feature from live Good Til Cancelled (GTC) listings. The functionality will be available beginning January 8, 2009, and eBay UK said it would refund any subtitle renewal fee between 1st - 15th January 2009 (inclusive) for sellers who created a new GTC listing with subtitle feature enabled in December, or added a subtitle to an existing GTC listing in December.
