eBay is holding a 2-week promotion in which "eligible" sellers may list up to 10 auction-style listings for free. Sellers who qualify for the promotion will receive an email and a Message Center message. See more details on the AuctionBytes Blog.
eBay also announced it would be extending the 5-cent listing promotion for fixed-price listings in the media category through the end of the year. It also said it will opening its U.S. site to Half.com listings, which are free to list, in May and will launch a marketing campaign to bring buyers in the books, music, movies, and video games categories to eBay. The move is an attempt to move toward a "product-based experience." Half.com listings will show up on product pages only, while eBay Auction-style and Fixed Price listings will show up on both the product page and standard results pages.
