Online auction site CQout was recently featured on The Gadget Show as a prime place to buy and sell during a recession. CQout co-founder and Director Tony Newton said the site is the second largest such site in the UK said the marketplace has grown substantially. "Private sellers are looking to help make ends meet by selling unwanted goods without exorbitant listing fees and buyers, as always, are looking for a bargain."
On March 23rd, the UK's Channel Five featured CQout on "The Gadget Show" in which two presenters sold used items in a variety of ways, online and offline Newton said, "Our SecurePay offering was clearly as much of a hit with The Gadget Show presenter as it has been with our users." The presenter sold a camcorder and PS2 console on CQout as part of the show. The CQout coverage on The Gadget Show can be seen on YouTube.
