Amazon.com alerted its Marketplace sellers that it had made a change in the Performance Summary report. The Performance Summary had showed only Shipped order totals with seller fees already subtracted out, but now displays separate columns for the sales value of Ordered products and Shipped products, neither of which has seller fees subtracted. Amazon.com also told Canadian Marketplace sellers it would unveil improvements to the Pro Merchant Volume Listing tools, including streamlining the pages sellers use for uploading inventory and downloading reports. Current file and report formats will remain the same. In addition, a Price & Quantity file will allow sellers to update only the price and/or quantity of inventory without having to submit other information. (Link to announcement.)
And Amazon.com created a video tutorial for new sellers with an overview of the product page. "It covers what information should appear on a product page and what information influences buying decisions; the difference between product information and your listing details; and what to do if you think the product information is incorrect." Sellers may watch the 10-minute video online.
