The Associated Press reports that eBay and L'Oreal have agreed to mediation to settle a dispute in France over the issue of counterfeiting. eBay UK issued a statement last Friday reporting that the UK High Court had ruled in its favor in the L'Oreal counterfeiting case on all counts and had referred a number of items to the European Court of Justice for clarification and confirmation. L'Oreal issued a statement the same day, writing, "In a decision passed today by the UK High Court of Justice, the court agreed with the view held from the outset by L'Oreal, that eBay could do more to prevent trade mark infringement and suggested 10 measures."
