announced that it will add an eBay widget to Yahoo TV Widgets so users can get real-time updates, place bids, and monitor their favorite items on eBay - on their televisions while watching regular programming. The widgets work with certain smart TVs .
Yahoo has also launched a PayPal application within Yahoo Mail so users can send and receive money directly in the email program. To request money, users only need to know the email address of the person they wish to ask, insert the amount and include a brief description. The form is then automatically inserted into a Yahoo Mail email. To send money, users enter the recipient's email address and the amount, select the payment method of choice (bank, balance or credit card), and they will be re-directed to the PayPal site to confirm payment. The PayPal icon appears on the Yahoo Mail sidebar. (Link to announcement .)
