eBay Says Traffic and Sales to eBay Stores Are Normal

Reading AuctionBytes: eBay Says Traffic and Sales to eBay Stores Are Normal

eBay addressed complaints that traffic and sales have dropped by issuing an announcement on its Systems Announcement Board. The company said that there is a problem in its eBay Stores tracking and reporting system, which is powered by Omniture. "Many sellers have contacted us recently about a sudden drop in numbers in their stores traffic reports. We've investigated the issue and confirmed that the problem is in the tracking and reporting system only and that actual traffic and sales for eBay Stores are normal."

eBay Store owners have also complained that recent changes to Google Base feed requirements - specifically the item condition field - have broken the feed that eBay sends to Google Base, resulting in a drop in traffic from Google. eBay reportedly rolled out a fix on July 30th.
