Bonanzle founder Bill Harding said the marketplace site would unveil an API by October. "We're planning to make it fairly comprehensive in terms of allowing site searching, adding items to carts, and updating items in users' stores." Harding predicted the API would get heavy adoption at a brisk rate, and developers using the API would eligible to get affiliate commissions. Later in the fall, Harding said the site would launch the next phase in its development which is being kept under wraps.
Bonanzle said it would reach 100,000 registered users in September, one year after launching out of beta testing. The site is holding a contest in which it will give a year-long Bonanzle premiere membership to the user who can provide the most inspiring story/poem/piece of writing about their first year at Bonanzle.
